Spiritual Transformation ……………

Spiritual Transformation ………………………………………..

Jesus’ life represents a road map for the spiritual journeys of all believers, spiritual journeys whose first steps of love and trust lead to obedience. “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from me; yet, not my will, but yours be done,” Jesus said in Luke 22:42.

These words were not said easily; they were wrenched from the anguished soul of Jesus as the dark shadow of the cross inched ever closer to Him. It is clear from Scripture that Jesus had a choice in the matter. He could have walked away from the cross, but He didn’t. Jesus’ love and trust of the Father was so great that He chose to obey Him—no matter the cost. By choosing to obey His Father, Jesus was empowered to conduct Himself like the Father.

By choosing surrender and obedience, Jesus demonstrated God’s personal character to His disciples—and to the entire world. He did so because He wanted those He loves to personally experience God—to see Him face-to-face. As a result of Jesus’ love, trust, and obedience He forever changed the world.
