It bears repeating. Tend to your spouse or if unmarried, choose wisely. From that one person will come the majority of your happiness or misery.
"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts in her; so he will no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life." Proverbs 31:10-12
We are prone to take our partners too easily. Women tend to doubt their husbands and manipulate them. Men tend to overlook their wives and forget to show affection. Both can improve their personal lot if they just spend a little time tending to each other.
Ladies:
- Compliment your husband for something positive. Make it genuine.
- Stand near your husband and touch his arm now and then. Let him know you like his presence.
Fellows:
- Tell her that you love her. Use those words. Nothing else will do.
- Do something nice for her. Not expensive but nice. A card or note would be fine.
It doesn’t take much to tend to each other. It will bring you more lasting joy than money can buy.
