Your Prayer Discipline

For this holy time of prayer, breathe deeply and allow the peace of Christ to enfold you.

Luke 9:29 While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white.

Jesus was deep in prayer. So much so that his appearance changed. There was something so different about him that his disciples could see it. When we are with a person who prays regularly and nourishes their spiritual life we notice something about them, too. It may not be in their face or clothing. But sometimes it’s in their behavior, their speech, or the activities they engage in. Other times we notice a gentleness or a strong compassion for others. Prayer transforms us. And prayer transforms those around us, too.

(Pray using this prayer or one of your own.)

Father, I place my life in your hands. Mold me, shape me, grace me, that I might be a person for others.
