As I Begin This Lord’s Day…

John 3:13-17:

“No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, we come before you this morning with grateful hearts, recognizing your sovereignty and love that knows no bounds. As we gather here to worship you, we ask that you open our hearts and minds to the profound truth revealed in John 3:13-17.

Lord, we are reminded that no one has ever ascended into heaven except your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who came from heaven to dwell among us. Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, Jesus, the Son of Man, was lifted up on the cross for our salvation. Through his sacrificial act, he offers eternal life to everyone who believes in him.

In this passage, you reveal the depths of your love for the world. You loved us so much that you gave your one and only Son, not to condemn us but to save us. Lord, help us to grasp the magnitude of this truth. Let it penetrate our hearts and transform our lives.

As we worship you this morning, may this message resonate within us. May it stir our faith, reminding us of the incredible gift of eternal life that you have bestowed upon us through Jesus. Help us to live in the light of this truth, radiating your love and grace to those around us.

Lord, as we gather in your presence, we pray that you will guide our thoughts, words, and actions. Fill us with your Holy Spirit, empowering us to worship you in spirit and in truth. May your presence be tangible among us, and may our worship be pleasing to your ears.

We thank you, Heavenly Father, for the privilege of gathering as your children to worship you. May our worship be a testament to your love, mercy, and grace. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
