Today’s Spiritual Disciplines

Learning to Trust, Becoming Ready to Follow

Welcome to a day of Scripture reflections that invites us to place our future, our decisions, and our unfinished responsibilities into God’s care.

Today’s Spiritual Discipline Theme: Trusting God enough to surrender control and practice obedience. These daily devotions will guide our Christian walk from confidence in His promises toward faithful action and peaceful rest.

The Last Word Belongs to God — By His Word

Revelation 21:5 will anchor our faith journey in God’s promise to make all things new. Knowing who holds the outcome will help us face today’s uncertainty with hope and continue serving with purpose.

Who Will Set the Tone Today? — As the Day Begins

Ephesians 5:18–19 will invite us to welcome the Holy Spirit’s direction before competing concerns govern our responses. Surrender will take practical shape through worship, gratitude, and kindness toward others.

When What You Own Takes Hold of You — In the Life of Christ

Mark 10:17–31 will lead us into Jesus’ encounter with a wealthy man whose possessions hinder his response. We will examine our own sources of security and consider how generosity expresses trust in Christ.

Enough Light for the Next Step — The Bible in a Year

Hebrews 11:8 will show us Abraham responding to God without knowing the whole journey. His example will encourage us to practice the obedience Scripture makes clear while entrusting unanswered questions to God.

When God Says You Have Too Many — On Second Thought

Gideon’s reduced army will challenge our habit of measuring possibility by available resources. Judges 7 will help us fulfill our responsibilities while depending on God for what our abilities cannot accomplish.

When Jesus Steps Into Your Business — DID YOU KNOW

Mark 11:27–33 will bring us face-to-face with Jesus’ authority. We will explore how honest questions, examined motives, and willing surrender prepare us to follow His teaching.

Let the Word Take One More Step — As the Day Ends

James 1:22 will invite us to turn reflection into a concrete response. We will close by identifying one act of obedience and resting in God’s mercy as we prepare to follow through.

May these spiritual disciplines help us hear attentively, trust deeply, and respond faithfully.
