Your Evening Prayer Discipline

I am thankful that God allows darkness to follow rebellion. Sometimes he uses darkness to lead us to the light.

Father, according to Your Word, a person can be handed over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his or her spirit saved on the day of the Lord (1 Cor. 5:5).

O God, please help me not to continue to resist repentance and be handed over to Satan for a season. Help me to turn my life over to You now.

I admit that I reaped absolutely no benefit from the things I’m not ashamed of. Those things result in death. But now that I have been set free, the benefit I am reaping leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus my Lord (Rom. 6:21-23).
