A prisoner unaware is the kind of prisoner most vulnerable to her captors, the easiest prey there is.
Father, Your Word clearly states that You will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. You will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless (Isa. 13:11).
Lord, even mighty King Nebuchadnezzar learned to praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven and acknowledge that everything You do is right, that all Your ways are just, and that those who walk in pride, You are able to humble (Dan. 4:37).
Your Word says that pride hardens the heart (Dan. 5:20). Your desire for me is that I be tenderhearted (Eph. 4:32, KJV). Please melt any hardness in my heart.
