Greeting the Morning

Acts 4:11-12 states: “This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Prayer of Invocation:

Gracious and Merciful God,

We come before You today, acknowledging the power and significance of the name of Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of our faith and the source of our salvation. In Acts 4:11-12, we are reminded of the truth that Jesus, who was rejected by the builders, has become the foundation upon which our lives are built.

We humbly gather in Your presence, seeking Your guidance, wisdom, and strength. As we stand on the firm foundation of Christ, we recognize that there is salvation in no other name. Your Word declares that there is no one else under heaven given among humanity by whom we must be saved. We embrace this truth with deep gratitude and reverence.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge our need for salvation and redemption. We confess our shortcomings, our failures, and our sins before You. We are grateful that through Jesus, our sins are forgiven, and we can experience the transformative power of Your love and grace. We thank You for the gift of eternal life that is made possible by faith in Jesus Christ.

Today, we invoke Your presence in our midst, Lord. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, filling our hearts with Your divine presence and empowering us to live according to Your will. May the name of Jesus be exalted in our lives, our worship, and our witness. Grant us the boldness and courage to proclaim the good news of salvation to all who are lost and in need of Your saving grace.

We pray for those who have not yet come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Open their hearts to the truth of Your Word, soften their minds to receive Your message of love and redemption. May they encounter Your transforming power and find hope, healing, and salvation in the precious name of Jesus.

As we journey through life, may we always remember that our hope is anchored in Christ, the cornerstone of our faith. Help us to build our lives upon the solid foundation of Your truth and love. Guide us in our words, thoughts, and actions, that they may reflect the light of Christ shining through us.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, believing that You hear and answer our prayers. Amen.
