Before I Sleep…

“2 Corinthians 4:8-12” in the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) translation:

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies. For while we live, we are always being given up to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may be made visible in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you.”

As you journey through life, may you hold onto the profound truths found in the words of 2 Corinthians 4:8-12. Remember that though afflictions may surround you, you shall not be crushed. Acknowledge that even as you face challenges, life is at work in you, offering hope and renewal. And may this life that dwells within you overflow, touching the lives of others, bringing them closer to the abundant grace and love of our Savior.

Therefore, go forth in the assurance that even in the face of adversity, you are not alone. Trust in the strength and faithfulness of our God, who will sustain you. May your lives be marked by selflessness, perseverance, and a steadfast commitment to living for the glory of God.
