My Morning Prayer

Luke 11:9-13, is as follows:

“And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Morning Prayer:

Heavenly Father, in this new day’s dawn, I come before You, humbly and drawn. Grant me the courage to ask with trust, Knowing Your goodness is ever just.

As You’ve promised, Lord, I seek Your way, Guide my steps, enlighten my day. Open my heart to wisdom and truth, Help me discern each decision, uncouth.

With fervent knocks upon Your sacred door, May I find solace and peace evermore. Grant me strength to face challenges anew, For I believe, Lord, Your love will imbue.

Like a caring father, You never withhold, Your blessings and grace, abundantly unfold. For if earthly fathers, in their human plight, Give good gifts, how much more Your light?

Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit’s fire, Ignite my soul, help me go higher. Let Your presence surround me this morn, As I journey with You, feeling reborn.

In this morning’s prayer, I humbly implore, Your divine guidance forevermore. Lead me, O Lord, in the path You set, With gratitude, my heart is deeply met.

Amen.
