As I Rise…

Matthew 24:4-14 in the Bible says:

“Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.'”

Morning Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this new day, we come before You, seeking Your guidance and strength. Your word reminds us to be vigilant and discerning, for many deceivers will arise, claiming to be messengers of truth. Grant us the wisdom to recognize falsehood and to stay rooted in Your eternal Word.

In a world marked by turmoil and uncertainty, we take solace in Your promise that even amid wars, famines, and natural disasters, we need not be consumed by fear. Help us to trust in Your providence, knowing that these trials are but the birth pangs before Your ultimate plan unfolds.

Lord Jesus, we recognize that following Your path may bring persecution and opposition. Yet, we humbly pray for the courage and steadfastness to remain faithful, even in the face of adversity. Guard our hearts against the temptations to turn away from You or to betray one another. Instead, unite us in love and empower us to extend compassion and forgiveness to those around us.

As false prophets and wickedness abound, we implore You to ignite the flame of love within us. Let not our hearts grow cold or indifferent, but may we be vessels of Your love, shining Your light in a darkened world. Grant us discernment to recognize the genuine messengers of Your truth and to stand firm in our convictions.

Lastly, Lord, we lift up the proclamation of the gospel. May Your message of salvation reach every corner of the earth, breaking down barriers and transforming lives. Empower us to be faithful witnesses, sharing Your love and grace with all nations.

In Your holy name, we pray,

Amen.
