John 6:47-51 (ESV) says:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
Morning Prayer:
Gracious and loving Father,
As the sun rises and a new day dawns, I come before You, humbled and grateful for the gift of life. Your words, spoken through Your Son Jesus Christ, fill my heart with hope and reassurance. I cling to the truth that whoever believes in Him has eternal life.
Lord Jesus, You are the bread of life, sustaining and nourishing our souls. Just as our ancestors were sustained by the manna in the wilderness, we now partake of the living bread that came down from heaven—You, our Savior. Grant me the grace to partake of this heavenly bread each day, that I may find true life in You and be filled with Your everlasting love.
In this world, we face trials, tribulations, and the reality of death. But Your promise remains steadfast—that those who eat of Your bread will live forever. May this truth strengthen my faith, allowing me to face each challenge with unwavering trust in Your divine providence.
Lord, You willingly gave Your flesh as the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of the world. Thank You for the immeasurable love You displayed on the cross. Help me to fully comprehend the depth of Your sacrifice, and may it inspire me to live a life of selflessness and love for others.
As I begin this day, I surrender my desires, my worries, and my fears into Your loving hands. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions, that they may reflect Your love and bring glory to Your holy name. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I may be a vessel of Your grace and mercy to those I encounter.
I pray for Your divine wisdom to lead me, Your strength to sustain me, and Your peace to guard my heart. May Your presence be with me throughout this day, empowering me to be a light in the darkness and a witness to Your transforming love.
In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I pray.
Amen.
