Proverbs 17:17 (NIV) states: “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”
Morning Prayer:
Gracious and loving God,
As I begin this new day, I come before You with a grateful heart. Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in my lungs, and for the opportunities that lie ahead. I am thankful for Your constant presence in my life, knowing that You are with me through every moment, both in times of joy and in times of adversity.
Lord, I thank You for the gift of friendship. Today, I ask for Your blessings upon my friends and loved ones. Help me to be a true friend, loving and supporting them through all seasons of life. Teach me to cultivate relationships that are built on trust, kindness, and understanding. May my friendships be a reflection of Your love and grace.
Heavenly Father, I recognize that there will be challenges and difficulties on this journey. Grant me the wisdom and strength to face them with courage and perseverance. Remind me that just as a brother is born for a time of adversity, You have placed people in my life who will stand by my side during the trials I may encounter. Help me to be open to their support and guidance, and grant me the humility to seek their assistance when needed.
Lord, I surrender this day to Your loving care. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that they may honor You. May I be a source of encouragement, compassion, and love to those I encounter today. Use me as an instrument of Your peace, bringing hope and joy to those around me.
