“Hosea 9:9 (NIV): ‘They have sunk deep into corruption, as in the days of Gibeah. God will remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.'”
Morning Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I rise from slumber, I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your presence and guidance in this new day. I reflect on the words of Hosea 9:9, which remind me of the consequences of straying from Your path and the importance of living in righteousness.
Lord, I confess that there have been times when I have sunk deep into the corruption of this world. I have allowed sin to entangle me, and I have not always followed Your commandments faithfully. But today, I come to You with a repentant spirit, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy.
Please remember, O God, that I am but a sinner in need of Your grace. Help me to learn from the mistakes of the past and to turn away from wickedness. Guide me on the path of righteousness, that I may walk in Your ways and bring honor to Your name.
Lord, I acknowledge that You are a just God, and sin has consequences. But I also know that You are a God of love and compassion. I pray that You would shower Your mercy upon me and grant me the strength to overcome temptations and the wisdom to discern between right and wrong.
In this new day, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I may bear the fruits of righteousness in all that I do. Grant me the courage to stand firm in my faith, even in the face of adversity. May my words, actions, and thoughts reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your unending love and forgiveness. Thank You for the opportunity to start afresh each morning. I surrender myself to You and entrust this day into Your hands. Guide me, protect me, and let Your will be done in my life.
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
