Psalm 139:1-12, 23-24 (NIV) states:
1 You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. you perceive my thoughts from afar. you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. and the light become night around me,” the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
Morning Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
As I awaken to the light of a new day, I come before You in humble reverence and gratitude. You, O Lord, have searched me and known me, understanding the depths of my heart and mind. Your presence surrounds me, and Your love envelops my being.
In this quiet moment, I surrender myself to Your guidance. Examine my heart, O God, and test my thoughts. Reveal to me any traces of anxiety or wrongdoing that may hinder my walk with You. Purify my intentions and align them with Your perfect will.
Lord, You know my every step and the path that lies ahead. Hold me fast in Your loving embrace, leading me along the everlasting way. When darkness threatens to overshadow my spirit, remind me that even in the deepest night, Your light shines brighter still. Grant me the courage to trust in Your unfailing presence, knowing that You are with me wherever I may go.
May this day be a vessel of Your grace and love. Use me as an instrument of Your peace, compassion, and kindness. Open my eyes to see the needs of others and grant me the wisdom to offer a helping hand. Fill me with Your joy and grant me the strength to face any challenges that come my way.
In Your infinite wisdom, guide my thoughts, words, and actions throughout this day. May they bring honor and glory to Your name. Mold me into the person You desire me to be, and let Your light shine through me in all that I do.
I commit this day into Your loving hands, knowing that You are my refuge and strength. Thank You, gracious Lord, for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve You. May Your presence be my constant companion as I journey through this day and every day to come.
