Psalm 105:18-19 (New International Version):
“They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons, till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true.”
Morning Prayer:
O Gracious and Merciful Creator,
As the morning light breaks forth, we lift our hearts in prayer and thanksgiving. We remember the words of Psalm 105:18-19, which speak of the trials and challenges faced by your faithful servant in the past. Just as you proved him true through his struggles, we come before you, seeking strength, wisdom, and guidance for the day ahead.
Lord, we acknowledge that life’s journey can sometimes be fraught with difficulties. Yet, we find solace in the knowledge that you walk beside us, never leaving our side. Like the shackles that bruised his feet, we may encounter obstacles that threaten to hold us back, but we know that with you, all things are possible.
Today, we surrender our burdens, fears, and anxieties into your caring hands. Help us to find the courage to face each challenge with unwavering faith in your divine plan. May we be reminded that through perseverance, our trials will lead us to triumph, just as you have proved faithful to your promises throughout history.
Lord, bless our steps today as we journey through life. Guide us in the paths of righteousness, and grant us discernment to make wise decisions. Open our eyes to see the opportunities to be a blessing to others, and may our words and actions reflect your love and compassion.
We pray for those who are struggling, feeling trapped by their circumstances, or burdened by life’s chains. May they find comfort in your presence and experience the freedom that comes from trusting in you.
Thank you for the gift of a new day, where your mercies are renewed each morning. May this day be filled with joy, peace, and the assurance of your unfailing love.
In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
