Psalm 69:9 (New International Version) reads:
“Zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.”
Morning Prayer:
O Heavenly Father, as I rise to greet this new day, my heart is filled with zeal and passion for Your house and Your kingdom. I long to dwell in Your presence, to seek Your face, and to honor Your name with all that I am. May my devotion to You be steadfast and unwavering, and may it consume me like a holy fire that burns bright in the darkness.
Lord, I know that in this world, there will be those who scorn and ridicule You, casting insults upon Your name and Your truth. But, just as Your Son, Jesus Christ, bore the weight of our sins on the cross, I humbly pray that You grant me the strength to endure any reproach or mockery that comes my way for loving and serving You.
As I go about my day, let Your love and compassion flow through me, touching the lives of those around me. May my actions and words reflect Your grace, forgiveness, and mercy, showing others the depth of Your unfailing love.
Guide my steps, O Lord, that I may walk in alignment with Your will and purpose. Give me wisdom and discernment to make righteous decisions and to be a source of encouragement and support to those in need. Use me as an instrument of Your peace and a channel of Your blessings.
In times of challenge or temptation, may Your Spirit empower me to stand firm, rooted in Your Word and trust. As I face the trials of the day, help me remember that I do not walk alone but that You are by my side, leading, protecting, and comforting me.
Lord, I thank You for the gift of this new day and for the opportunity to serve You. Fill me with Your joy, peace, and hope as I embrace each moment with gratitude and humility. May my life be a testament to Your glory, and may Your love shine through me to draw others closer to Your heart.
I offer this prayer with a grateful heart, trusting in Your faithfulness and knowing that Your love sustains me. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
