Today’s Spiritual Disciplines

May the Lord strengthen your faith, guide your understanding, and help you receive His care today. Whether you begin with confidence or questions, you are welcome to walk with us through these daily devotions.

Today’s Spiritual Discipline Theme: Learning to Depend upon the Father

Today’s Scripture reflections will lead us through surrender, provision, forgiveness, protection, persistent prayer, and rest, helping us practice trust throughout our Christian walk.

By His Word — When the King Takes His Place
Jesus’ prayer, “Your kingdom come,” invites us to welcome God’s authority into ordinary decisions. We will consider how surrender grows into obedience while keeping our hope fixed upon His enduring reign.

As the Day Begins — Enough for Today
The request for daily bread brings our practical needs into conversation with God. Israel’s experience of manna will encourage us to receive today’s provision gratefully and remember the needs of others.

In the Life of Christ — When Mercy Becomes Our Way of Life
Jesus connects our request for forgiveness with our willingness to extend mercy. His teaching and restoration of Peter will help us release resentment while pursuing truth and wise boundaries.

The Bible in a Year — When the Trial Becomes a Crossroads
We will explore how difficult circumstances can become occasions for temptation. Scripture will guide us toward prayerful dependence and practical choices that support obedience.

On Second Thought — You Can Knock at Midnight
Jesus’ story of a midnight request encourages honest, persistent prayer. We will discover how acknowledging our limitations can deepen our dependence upon God and prepare us to serve others.

DID YOU KNOW — Ask Boldly, Trust the Father
Asking, seeking, and knocking will draw us toward confidence in the Father’s goodness. We will examine our motives through Scripture and consider the Holy Spirit as God’s gracious gift.

As the Day Ends — Rest in the Care of Your Creator
God’s rest after creation will invite us to entrust our unfinished concerns to Him. Jesus’ welcome to the weary will help us receive rest as part of our faith journey.
