The Church Is a Gathering

The church is the gathering of the ‘called’ of God.  In fact, the Greek word used for church, ekklesia, means the ‘called out ones’.  The Called of God are called, first, out of their old lives of darkness and sin and the tortures it brings.   Then they know a moment of that calling when their hearts melt, understanding dawns and a new life begins with a prayer of confession.
