“In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” — Psalm 56:4
Adoration
Heavenly Father, I come before You in awe of Your greatness and majesty. In God, whose word I praise—You are a God who speaks truth, and Your word is a lamp unto our feet, guiding us in the path of righteousness. I praise You for being the eternal and unchanging God, whose promises are steadfast and sure. Your word is a reflection of Your perfect character—holy, just, and loving. I adore You, Lord, for Your unwavering faithfulness, that in every season, in every circumstance, You are the one constant we can rely upon. You are the God in whom we place our trust, and for this, I worship and magnify Your holy name.
Confession
Lord, as I stand before Your holy presence, I must confess the times when I have failed to trust in You fully. I shall not be afraid—yet there have been moments when fear has gripped my heart, and I have allowed doubt to cloud my faith. Forgive me, Father, for the times I have leaned on my own understanding rather than resting in Your promises. Forgive my wavering trust, my hesitations, and the moments when I have let fear dictate my actions instead of Your word. I confess my sin of unbelief, and I ask that You cleanse my heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Thanksgiving
Thank You, Lord, for being the God in whom we can place our trust. In God I trust—what a gift it is to know that we can rely on You, that in Your hands we are secure. I thank You for Your word, which is a foundation upon which we can stand firm, unshaken by the storms of life. Thank You for Your perfect love that casts out all fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I am grateful for the assurance that, no matter what comes our way, we are safe in Your care.
Supplication
Father, I come before You with my needs, knowing that You are a generous God who delights in blessing Your children. I shall not be afraid—Lord, I ask that You remove all fear from my heart. Strengthen my trust in You, so that I may walk in boldness and confidence, knowing that You are with me. I also ask that You help me to cling to Your word in every situation. Let Your promises be ever before me, guiding my steps and filling me with hope. May Your word be a constant source of encouragement and strength in my life.
Consecration
Lord, I desire to live a life that honors You, reflecting the truth of Your word in all I do. What can flesh do to me?—I commit to trusting in You fully, no matter the circumstances I face. Help me to live without fear, confident in Your protection and provision. I also commit to praising Your word daily, letting it shape my thoughts, my words, and my actions. May I be ever mindful of Your promises, living in a way that shows the world that my trust is in You alone.
Intercession
Heavenly Father, I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ who are facing fear and uncertainty today. What can flesh do to me?—I pray that You would fill them with a deep trust in Your power and goodness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that no earthly challenge is greater than Your might. I also pray for those who may be struggling to hold on to Your promises. May Your word come alive in their hearts, bringing them comfort, peace, and assurance that You are with them, guiding them through every trial.
Amen
Lord, as I close this time of prayer, I am reminded of the greatness of Your love and faithfulness. You are the God in whom we trust, the One who calms our fears and strengthens our hearts. May we walk in the confidence of Your promises, praising Your word and living without fear, knowing that You are always with us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
