Adoration
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart filled with awe and reverence for Your character. In Psalm 51:17, I see the beauty of Your mercy. You do not desire empty rituals, but a heart that is broken and humble before You. I adore You, Lord, for being the God who cherishes repentance and draws near to the contrite. I praise You for being a compassionate Father who never turns away a sincere heart. You are not impressed by outward displays, but by inward transformation, and for this, I worship You.
Confession
Merciful God, I confess that my heart is not always broken and contrite before You. Too often, I come to You with pride, with half-hearted repentance, and with a reluctance to admit my failings. Forgive me for the times I have hardened my heart and resisted the conviction of Your Spirit. Forgive me for the sins I commit knowingly and unknowingly, in both word and thought. Help me, Lord, to come before You in true humility, acknowledging my need for Your grace and cleansing.
Thanksgiving
Gracious Father, I thank You for Your promise in this psalm—that You do not despise a broken and contrite heart. What an incredible assurance! Thank You for being a God who welcomes those who come to You in repentance. I also thank You for Your unfailing love, a love that reaches into the depths of my sinfulness and pulls me toward Your light. Your kindness leads me to repentance, and for this, I am forever grateful.
Supplication
Lord, I ask that You create within me a heart that is genuinely broken over my sin. I pray for the kind of contrition that pleases You—a humility that recognizes my total dependence on Your grace. I also ask for Your forgiveness to flow over every area of my life, cleansing me from hidden faults and renewing my spirit. May Your mercy continue to shape me, transforming me more and more into Your likeness.
Consecration
Father, I commit to living a life of continual repentance, turning away from sin and toward You daily. Help me to reject pride and walk humbly before You, acknowledging that I need Your grace every moment. Strengthen me to remain tenderhearted, always open to Your correction, and eager to align my life with Your will. Let me seek Your forgiveness not just in words but in actions, living a life that reflects a heart broken for You.
Intercession
Lord, I lift up those in the body of Christ who are struggling with hard-heartedness. Soften their hearts, that they may come to You with a spirit of repentance, experiencing the joy of restoration. I also pray for those who feel distant from You because of shame or guilt. Let them know that You will not despise their brokenness, but instead, You welcome them with open arms. May they experience the power of Your healing and forgiveness today.
