John 8:31-38 (NIV)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.”

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You this morning with a heart full of gratitude for Your unwavering love and faithfulness. Your words in John 8:31-38 remind me of the freedom that comes from knowing Your truth. Father, I seek to be a true disciple, holding firmly to the teachings of Jesus. Help me to embrace Your truth fully and allow it to transform my life. I acknowledge the times I have relied on my own understanding and achievements for a sense of security. Today, I choose to place my trust in You alone. Guide me, Father, as I navigate the challenges of this day. Let Your truth be my anchor and Your love my strength. May I walk in the freedom You have given me, free from the chains of sin and fear.
Lord Jesus, I am deeply moved by Your words and Your promise of true freedom. You have shown me that freedom is not found in external circumstances but in a relationship with You. I ask for Your forgiveness for the times I have allowed sin to enslave me and dictate my actions. Jesus, I invite You into every area of my life. Let Your truth illuminates the darkest corners of my heart, bringing healing and liberation. Teach me to live as a beloved child of God, secure in Your love and grace. May Your presence guide me throughout this day, giving me the courage to face each moment with confidence and peace.
